Young Women’s Camp is just around the corner! Please see below to find answers to many popular questions you might have in preparing for this incredible camp!

FAQs

    • YW Camp will take place May 28-31. YCLs will leave for camp on the 28th. Everyone else will arrive on May 29.

    • YW Camp will be held at the Texas 4-H Conference Center in Brownwood, Texas.

    • Each ward is handling the cost of YW Camp in the way that best suits the needs of each ward. Please reach out to your ward YW leaders for the cost. All money is due by April 27.

    • The theme for camp this year is the Church’s 2025 Youth Theme “Look unto Christ” (D&C 6:36).

  • Our amazing YCLs set wonderful goals for camp this year:

    ● Get to know the Savior and feel loved by Him

    ● Create a sense of community among the YW of the Stake

    ● Grow testimonies / set spiritual momentum

    ● Learn a new skill

    ● Have fun!

  • Camp Kick off is April 30 from 7-8 pm at the Stake Center. Let’s get excited!

    • While our primary focus will be on Christ, this camp offers many adventures the girls will have an opportunity to experience, including a high ropes course, a low ropes challenge course, a rock climbing wall & giant swing, fishing, canoeing & kayaking, archery, target shooting at a rifle range, pickleball, gaga ball, swimming in a pool, and much more! We are packing a lot into our time at Lake Brownwood!

    • The YW will sleep in dorms with the other girls and leaders from their ward. Each dorm has 15 beds as well as 2-3 toilets, sinks and showers on one side, a gathering space in the middle, and 15 beds as well as 2-3 toilets, sinks and showers on the other side.


    • Please wear comfortable clothing that is suitable for outdoor activities as well as indoor/outdoor spiritual meetings.

    • Closed-toe shoes are required except for at the lake/pool. It is advised to bring shoes for the lake that are also closed-toe or can be strapped onto the foot.

    • Please follow the standards in the For the Strength of Youth Guidebook.

    • The Texas 4-H Conference Center asks that campers not wear tops with spaghetti straps or halter tops, shirts that reveal the midriff, or clothing that references or advertises alcohol, drugs, violence, or sexual content. We ask that all YW respect the camp’s policies.

    • Yes! All meals will be provided at the camp’s cafeteria. A snack each day will also be provided, but the girls are welcome to bring their own snacks. (YCLs only should bring a sack lunch on Wednesday.)

    • Yes! Nurses will be on-site to assist with medical needs.

    • If your daughter requires medication, the camp nurses will reach out to you shortly.

    • Please be aware that the Texas 4-H Conference Center requires all medication be in the original container and labeled with your daughter’s name. Prescriptions must be in the original container and labeled with the child’s full name, physician's name and complete directions. All medications are stored in a locked room and given under the camp nurses’ supervision. When the girls arrive at camp, they will be able to give their medication to the nurses.

    • Each ward is coordinating their travel arrangements. It is roughly a 2.5 hour drive to Lake Brownwood. We are asking wards to arrive between 8:30-9:30 am on May 29. Please check with your ward YW leaders for the meeting locations and times.

    • Camp will end by 4 pm on Saturday, May 31. Wards will coordinate with parents where to pick up your daughter after traveling back.

    • YCLs will meet on Wednesday, May 28 at 8 am at Bass Pro Shops (formerly Cabella’s). The address is 12901 Cabela Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76177. Stake leaders will arrange transportation to and from camp for the YCLs. Camp will end by 4 pm on Saturday, May 31. We will transport the YCLs back to Bass Pro Shops for pick up with an anticipated arrival time around 6:30 pm.

    • YW are allowed to bring cell phones. The YCLs will encourage phones to be put away at certain times. Ward leaders will determine how they want to handle cell phones in their dorms.

    • Please leave other valuables and electronics at home, including money, jewelry, iPads, video games, etc.

  • We invite you to:
